This post is from a download I recieved when I was on a fast in 2019. I usually type up conversations and downloads I get so it reads exactly how I converse with Holy Spirit.
My relationship with God is very much like that of a child with their parent. I ask loads of questions. My curiosity is not only peaked in our conversations, but I get so excited when God unlocks mysteries and reveals new perspective. AHHHH it's so good.
So let me share this because as you can tell I''m already EEEEEEEEEEEKcited!

Day 13: Demonstration of Maturity When God is doing something in your life that you asked for be ready to see him have you demonstrate it first. He is all about teaching through experience. Today's Question: What is a mountain good for (spiritually)? By faith the size of a mustard seed we can remove them, but that doesn’t mean that our problems/issues aren’t necessary. If you were surrounded by water and it was infested by sharks you would be happy to see a mountain or any land matter that would become at that moment a safe place to swim to. A mountain is something that is elevated and by definition mountains are a mountainous region characterized by remoteness and inaccessibility. When I read this, I looked back at pictures I have on my desktop of mountains. They are really beautiful images, but the focus around my initial question came back to me, this time with even more curiosity. The Greek word for Mountain is opoc (or'-os) In the Bible according to Strong’s Greek Concordance (3735) there are a total of 234 occurrences in the Old Testament and 64 occurrences where the word Mountain/On A Hill is mentioned in the New Testament. (See all instances below)
I went (and I am still going) to each of the references in the new Testament per instruction from the Holy Ghost (in no particular order) and was able to notice the use of mountains, the good they have and also the symbolism of this elevation of remoteness and inaccessibility.
There were a few that stood out instantly before I got to really dive into the rest.
Matthew 4:8 (Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.), Matthew 5:14 (Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.) and Matthew 21:21 (Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.)
Let’s focus on Matthew 4:8-11 – This is what I call “At The HEIGHT of Maturity”
Matthew 4:8 (Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.)
The enemy for his final stunt full of smoke and mirrors took Jesus to the highest mountain when he was at his weakest, to tempt him, but what he was tempting him with, in essence, was still below him. Have you ever been tempted into something that is lower than where you are? Or beneath you? or possibly where you should be?
Because once again I had to ask, how does Boo-Boo the fool have the right to even speak to Jesus or take him antyyyywhere? Like the nerve.
Imagine trying to claim to give the kingdoms of the world to Jesus and not ignorantly knowing you took him to the height of a place in which he was already above. This is Jesus the Messiah…and I don’t even know if the enemy understands that he got setup, for the set UP of our lives. Like BRUHHH how you gonna give Jesus something that is already his. (Insert Asian film laugh)
I hear Abba Father saying, you think your enemies are there to bring you down, but you don’t even realize that their lack of knowledge is taking you to the mountain top. What they had in mind to cause you harm is working for your good. They don’t even realize that within that moment of revelation you are now looking down at all of that which is yours from the heavenly places, declaring with a knowing, declaring with an understanding and a conviction that this right here is already mines fool. I just needed to see it; I just needed the birds view, the eagle’s vision.
Let me show you something, follow me to Psalms 2:7-8 (KJV)
I will declare the decree:
the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son;
this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
A Heathen is an individual of the pagan or unbelieving nations, or those which worship idols and do not acknowledge the true God; a pagan; an idolater. Unenlightened, irreligious. All nations that are strangers to revealed truth by way of the Holy Spirit.
You need to grab your oh shuggie duggie moment right here. See old smoke and mirrors knew good and well what God promised me in Psalms 2:8. (Ask of me,
and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. - KJV)
So I’m sitting here like ready to jump put my chair because I could just see Jesus thinking “ Ohhhhhh, that’s why you fighting me so hard, because you couldn’t have known where to take me if you didn’t already know it was mine.”
I can just picture Jesus giving him side-eye, with a slight head tilt an eye-squint and a mmm-hmm right before he told ole Smoke and Mirrors “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. AHHHHHHH, I can just feel the Spirit and the Power of the Lord when he said this. Nothing but swag and the sound of conviction in his voice.
And then I wondered if in that moment, right before he said it, did his humanity realize what his Spirit knew all along. Did the lightbulb click when the very one who was trying to destroy him brought him to witness the promise that God told him was his in the beginning? I wondered if the force and conviction in which he said what he said was so strong by the third time (because you know after being harassed enough, anyone is liable to let out a strong roar) that the enemy had to not just leave but run for the hills. (11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him).
The whole time the enemy was trying to tempt Jesus with what was already his, with what he was already fully capable to do, Jesus was reminding him about what was written. He literally said in a nutshell, you CAN’T come for me, unless I send for you. You need to understand, the joke is and will always be on him when you know who’s and who you are.
Understand minister in the Greek language is diakoneo (pronounced (dee-ak-on-eh'-o) means to serve. This right here is an indication of how powerful he was in this moment. The angels came to serve him. They hooked him up with a meal that would knock his socks off. They fed him food from heaven that would build him up for his next.
So, in this instance, the mountain was used to give a view of great elevation. It was used as a place of spiritual maturity. It was used as a place of revelation and realization. The height of this mountain lets us see that even Jesus follows his own rules. It shows how much he values and believes the word of God. His Faith in God was unwavering and uncompromising! Maturity at the Mountain!
In this season as we move toward elevated heights, and unusual favor understand that you may not need to knock the mountain into the sea by Faith, you may need to get to the top of it so you can be reminded about all that you’ve overcome and bear witness to the promises from a higher level!
